The NEX Media Wall with BEV Bioethanol Fireplace is a cutting-edge innovation from European designer‑manufacturer Planika, combining a motorised multimedia system with an integrated fireplace. Released in 2024, it’s designed to blend modern aesthetics with functional comfort in residential and commercial interiors.
What Is the NEX Media Wall?
At its core, the NEX Media Wall merges a decoration-grade fireplace and a TV panel into one seamless unit. The TV, which can be up to 85 inches, glides vertically: press a button and it rises to reveal the fireplace; lower it for optimal viewing height, typically 100–120 cm from the floor, creating a comfortable ~15° viewing angle without neck strain.
This BEV™ ethanol fireplace produces real flame and ambient heat, yet requires no chimney or gas line. It is environmentally friendly and safe for homes, including passive‑house or low‑emission builds.
Design & Customisation
The system is formed from sintered stone, primarily Dekton®, which offers over 60 finish options. Interiors can easily match existing materials—or even substitute your own wall cladding if desired.
Every element—including height, width, and depth—is fully customizable to suit different room sizes and design visions. It supports TVs from 65″ to 85″ and adapts to both compact and spacious interiors.
Intelligent Safety & Ventilation
Safety is built into every unit. Key features include:
– Anti-pinch sensors to prevent closing on obstacles.
– Flame-on sensors to keep access open while the fireplace is active.
– Temperature monitoring with audible alerts for overheating.
A dedicated ventilation system channels warm air behind the TV and fireplace, managing heat distribution and preventing moisture accumulation or internal overheating. Optional modules allow warm air to be vented into other rooms.
Controls & Integration
You can control the NEX Media Wall via:
– Remote control
– Mobile app
– Or integrate it into a smart‑home automation system.
This enables smooth operation and aligns with modern tech‑savvy home standards
Additional practical benefits include dual use of the TV panel: when lowered and idle, it can display artwork, ambient visuals, or music-driven visuals before rising to show the fire.
It redefines how modern interiors integrate technology and warmth, providing a striking focal point that enhances comfort, aesthetics, and spatial intelligence—all at the push of a button.
